Are you worried about pain after plastic surgery? I see a lot of patients in my practise for a variety of different types of plastic surgery. I think it is really important to take plenty of time to explain surgery options and expectations to my patients.
As a plastic surgeon I care a lot about scars. My reputation is on the line every time I make an incision in someone. Beyond my reputation, I really want people to be happy. It gives me great pleasure to see a scar heal and be barely visible; it is a competition with myself each time I operate.
How do celebrities look so great post-pregnancy and what surgeries are they getting to look this way?
I was answering questions in Realself recently, when I came across this question and I thought I would share my response. Some celebrities look amazing after pregnancy… as though they never had a baby at all. Several things contribute to this.
There is a lot of talk about vaginal rejuvenation recently. It seems everyone is interested in talking about it. So what is it and why is it so popular? Vaginal rejuvenation encompasses many things… but broadly speaking is broken down into “functional” and “cosmetic” concerns.
Mommy Makeovers are one of my favourite procedures. I love the dramatic changes that people can have with one surgery. My most favourite memories have come from the big reveal after a Mommy Makeover. I have had patients cry with joy. I have seen husbands’ jaws practically hit the floor. I have had patients tell me how much it has improved their self esteem.
Everyone knows the saying, “You get what you pay for”. When it comes to plastic surgery is it really true? The answer is yes and no. How’s that for cryptic? Here’s what I mean… This is your body or your face. You only have one of each. Do you really want to ‘chance’ it to someone that may not give you the result you want, or worse create a disaster?
